| Jamie Sliwa - CO Director, FCA Lacrosse North Carolina - Coach Coach Sliwa has been the Head Varsity Coach at Jordan High School since 2004. Since that time, the team has earned two Pac VI Regular Season Titles (2004, 2010), a Pac VI Conference Tournament Title (2005), and a State Semi-Final playoff appearance (2006). In 2004, 2008, and 2010, Coach Sliwa was named Pac VI "Coach of the Year." Coach Sliwa played his college lacrosse at Division I Canisius College and Division II Wingate University as both a close defenseman and a long stick midfielder. Prior to becoming the Head Coach at Jordan High School, Coach Sliwa worked at Southeast Raleigh High School as the Head JV coach for 2 years. During his first year at Southeast Raleigh, Coach Sliwa helped to lead the JV to their first ever "winning season." Coach Sliwa has also coached at multiple lacrosse camps including; UNC Lacrosse Camp, Pfeiffer Lacrosse Camp, Roanoke Defenseman's Challenge, and The Roanoke Goalie Camp, as well as the selection committee for the 2006 North Carolina State Games "North" team, and co-coach of the 2008 team. Coach Sliwa is the Director of the FCA program at Northern High School as well as their head cheerleading coach. While a student at North Carolina State University, she was in charge of the operations for the club softball team including transportation, fundraising, book keeping, and many other aspects of the day to day running of the team. Coach Sliwa teaches Sunday school at Duke Memorial Methodist Church along with her husband. Coach Sliwa teaches Earth Science, Physical Science, and Freshman Seminar classes at Northern High School. Mark Florio - Coach Coach Florio has always viewed coaching lacrosse as his ministry and looks forward to assisting the FCA program. Growing up in Long Island, NY he has been involved in all levels of the game as a player and coach for over 20 years. In the Triangle area he has coached with the Triangle Area Lacrosse League (TALL), the City of Raleigh Parks and Recreation (RALLY) and the NC Lacrosse Academy. He is a graduate of Cortland State (NY) and resides in Wake Forest with his wife Diane and sons, Tyler and Logan. James Aldridge - Coach Coach Aldridge is the head varsity coach at Panther Creek High School in Cary, NC. A North Carolina native, he played lacrosse at Southeast Guilford High School where he was the defensive captain of the team that won the NCHSLA Championship in 2000. After graduating from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, he coached at the middle school level in Chapel Hill for four years. In 2008-09he took over the program at Panther Creek, where he also teaches English. He and his wife Kristie live in Durham. Ron Campoli - Coach Coach Campoli is the head JV coach at Panther Creek High School. A native of NJ, has coached CYO High School Basketball and Rec. Basketball from 1990 through 2003, moved to Apex in 2006 and instantly found lacrosse leagues for his 2 boys to get involved with. What a great success the move to NC has been. Current Board Member for NCLAX Academy. Coached rec. soccer spring of 2007 through Apex Rec. Dept. Assistant Coach for the Carolina Canebreaks(NCLAX) travel team 2008. Director of the 5th/6th grade SLLIC League fall of 2008. Coached High School Indoor Lax - 2008 Coached 5th/6th grade boys for Apex Sports Authority spring of 2009 Director of the 7th/8th grade SLLIC League fall of 2009. Tom Spaulding - Coach Coach Spaulding graduated High School in Syracuse, NY in 1979 and lead the league in scoring his senior year. He played at SUNY Farmingdale, NY and helped win a national championship while earning All American honors. He then transferred to Cornell and played two years, being Ivy League Champs and participating in the NCAA playoffs both years with a career high #2 national ranking. Coach Spaulding has been an asst. varsity coach in NY and locally has coached at Salem Middle School, Panther Creek HS, and currently at Apex HS. He has also many of his summers coaching local RALLY and SLLIC teams. He is looking forward to sharing some of his trade secrets and old school stories with the kids. Glenn Estacio - Coach Coach Estacio is the head varsity coach at Riverside High School. He was the assistant coach/offensive coordinator for the Pirates from 1996-2003. During his tenure at Riverside, Coach Estacio was a part of four state championships and helped coach several all-state performers and six All-Americans. Prior to coaching at Riverside, Coach Estacio was the head coach of the Chapel Hill Tigers and led them to three state championships in five years, including back-to-back titles in 2007 and 2008. He was awarded PAC VI Coach of the Year honors in 2003, 2004, 2006, 2007, and 2008, and was named NCHSLA Coach of the Year in 2006. Bill Nifong - Coach Coach Nifong is a graduate of Jordan High School in Durham where he has been an "All-Conference" and an "All-State" selection. As a senior, Bill was named an "Academic All-American." Bill finishes his high school career as Jordan's 2nd all time leading scorer and is a current player at North Carolina State University. Bill played for the first FCA lacrosse team in NC. Wesley Thomas - Coach Coach Thomas is a graduate of Cedar Ridge High School where he was an "All-State" defenseman. Wesley was a member of the first FCA lacrosse team in NC and is currently playing lacrosse at NCAA DII Wingate University. Tony Mangili - Coach Coach Mangili is a graduate of Jordan High School where he was an "All-Conference" and "All-Region" attackman. Tony will be playing his college lacrosse at NCAA DII Lenoir-Rhyne University. Alex freeman - Coach Coach freeman is a graduate of Chapel hill High School where he started at LSM for the Tigers. Alex will be playing his college lacrosse at NCAA DI Lenoire-Rhyne University. |
